Save-your-marriage.org is not the same as save-your-marriage.com.

That said, we are not in competition. I may help the author of that website sell some of his courses for saving marriages.

Bottom line, our competition is not each other. Our competition is divorce, adultery, the destruction of the family. I believe I had the name first, but neither of us had any intention of stealing the name from the other.

If you buy courses from him and never hear about us, but your marriage is saved, I will be happy as this is not about money. In fact, for the last 23 years, I have footed the bill for these websites at a constant loss. And yet, I would like to make a living and be able to pay the bills, too. For two decades I made nearly no sales and I went back to work full-time letting my websites go on the backburner.

So, when you do buy something from these websites, you do help us. We get a commission. But if not for the love of families and marriage, I would give up and shut these down instantly. I do this for the love of family.

I expect Mr. Bauscom is likely much more successful in both sales and in helping others, and he likely deserves it. But given the high percentages of marriages failing in America and in the world, we need more people, more efforts, more teaching, more understanding of the importance family is to children and society.

Marriage is not just a hope. It is a promise to be kept.

As a young adult, when my best friend got married, I wanted to study everything I could about being a good husband and father.

I studied healthy families in our church looking to them for an example.

And then in 1991, I got married.

Our marriage was full of struggles anyway. My ex had bipolar and became involved with another man after 9 years of marriage.

Although I cried, prayed, and studied all the marriage saving materials I could find, she divorced me to be with the other man.

So in 2001, I formed nodivorces.com to fight divorce.

After several years I was blessed to meet Eileen, and we were married in 2007 as pictured lower on this page.

What is save-your-marriage.org for?

Save-your-marriage.org is for those in a relationship crisis and wanting training or coaching to help their marriage survive. This may seem obvious, but it isn’t. Other websites in this group are for strengthening marriages through fun, games, recreation, and creating great memories. Another is for those wanting to know how they can help others save marriages. And then there are sites or pages for fighting the terrors and injustice of family court and child custody.

How successful are we in saving marriages?

I know this is not the answer you hope to get, but I honestly do not know. I hope to search out those courses and helps that have had the greatest success. I am sure many authors feel they have been highly successful, and they certainly seem to have excellent ideas. And sadly, some came through the heartache of finding their standard counseling methods more damaging than helpful and had to put extra effort into finding what succeeds rather than what’s commonly done.

Are expensive programs better than free ones?

Not necessarily. They say you get what you pay for, but I don’t believe it is necessarily true. Sometimes grabbing a free and shorter version of a course may give you a quick and valuable start, and that may give you what you need to save your marriage from a crisis. That said, if the course is good, you may benefit greatly by going through the full program. You may also benefit by getting some books on relationships and marriage from your bookstore, such as Divorce Remedy and Divorce Busting by Michele Weiner-Davis. The online e-books by Michael Webb are also very good, but I’ve tended to back off a little as the focus seems to be a little more on sexual intimacy than relationship building, though his 50 Secrets to Blissful Relationships is really excellent as is the 1000 questions for couples e-book for couples getting married soon.

Will this website grow?

I hope so. It is my intention to add only pages that have very strong potential for saving a marriage, are very engaging, and are likely to be put to use and succeed in helping people.
